Crooked Lake

Crooked Lake is conveniently located near Brighton and only a short drive to I-96.

Crooked Lake is comprised of three sections, East Crooked Lake, West Crooked Lake, and Round/Clifford Lake. East Crooked Lake is 252 acres with a maximum depth of 40 feet. West Crooked Lake is 176 acres with a maximum depth of 19 feet. Round/Clifford Lake is 53 acres with a maximum depth of 34 feet. These lakes boarder on the very desirable Oak Pointe subdivision/community, featuring the Oak Pointe Golf and Country Club and Bourrough’s Tavern.

Oak Pointe Country Club has 36 championship holes, plus a variety of amenities, including tennis, swimming, fitness, and dining. They also have a lovely reception hall to hold all your special occasions. Bourrough’s Tavern is Brighton Michigan’s premier smokehouse for BBQ and smoked food. When you drive up to the restaurant you will immediately get hungry with the amazing smell.

East Crooked Lake has a state-owned public access on the southeast shore; hard-surfaced ramp with parking for 18 vehicles.

East and West Crooked Lakes offer anglers an opportunity to catch redear sunfish. The DNR has been stocking the redear sunfish as an alternative to bluegills. Redear grow faster and larger than bluegills and offer an opportunity for trophy panfish. Largemouth bass are also present in good numbers, as are crappies, northern pike, and bluegills. One of the things that makes the lake a good fishery is the abundant shallow-water weed cover. Several areas around the lakes have abundant lily pads which make for exciting top water action for bass and pike. Ice fishing is also good for bluegills, crappies and pike.

As you can see, the combination of a great subdivision of outstanding, upscale homes and all three lakes that surround it make for a desirable place to call home!
